I discovered Frank Frazetta when I was 5 years old and have been obsessed with him and anything fantasy or Sci-Fi since. When I was younger finding a Frazetta print, cover or new issue of Creepy, Eerie, Vampirella, and Conan on the magazine rack was like the first big dip of a roller coaster to me, that's how fantasy and Sci-Fi artwork affected me. Besides Frazetta, it was artists like Vallejo, Sanjulian, Rowena, Estabon Moroto, Earl Norem, Jusko, Wrightson, Ken Kelly, Jeff Jones (I could go on). To flip through their portfolios today is like hearing an old Classic Rock song, even though the genera has changes some to me their stuff is still timeless. Also a lot of inspiration came from old John Carpenter movies, George A. Ramero, to more recent films like Star Wars, LOTR, and even old Spaghetti Westerns. So I hope that anyone who can enjoy these things like I did can see it in my work. ~John
